The Bowlful of Blues

The 2008 Bowlful of Blues saw the coolest weather we've ever had. The crowd was able to move down the hill much earlier in the day under mostly cloudy skies. The music was still hot! Check out the photo pages here.

Performances in the Maytag Park amphitheater

The Bowl in Bowlful of Blues refers to the beautiful amphitheater in Newton's Maytag Park. The park itself is shaded by giant maple and oak trees. Kids and adults can cool off in the park swimming pool, which includes two large water slides. There is also a great frisbee golf course on the park grounds.

Newton, home of The Bowlful of Blues, is located about a 1/2 hour drive east of Des Moines, Iowa on Interstate 80.
